<sup>未果是我在富山念研究科期间完成的作品。据我所知，富山最出名的是两样东西，吴羽梨和玻璃。

当时我住的公寓附近时一望无际的梨田。梨作为农作物被大量培育，产果为目的导致畸形的形态远远超越梨树自身的承受力，必须以水泥柱和金属网的支撑。结果过程中，淘汰的梨远比装入包装送进市场的梨要多得多。生长过程中，为了集中营养掉落的小梨，被外力如天气，虫，乌鸦破坏的梨，不圆的梨，颜色不均匀的梨，达到合格线的梨再按品相分三六九等。多像人类自己。从成为受精卵之前我们就在竞争，连死亡都无法结束。他/她更漂亮，他/她更有才华，他/她成就更大。为了部分人的利益牺牲另一部分人的利益，而保全所有也是不可能的事情。我们也无法预见如果不是人类会不会是另一个族群。我想我无法作出判断，因而无意作出批判，而经过望不到头的梨田时遍地滚落的梨和持续钻进鼻腔的甜腻糜烂的气息，是真实的感到了悲凉。</sup>

^{"Mika" is a work I completed during my studies in Toyama. As far as I know , Toyama is most famous for two things: Kureha pears and glass. At that time, student apartment where I was living  was surrounded by endless pear fields. Pears, cultivated extensively as crops for fruit production, took on deformed shapes far beyond the trees' capacity, requiring support from cement pillars and metal nets.
During the process, the number of discarded pears far exceeded those packaged and sent to market. Small pears dropped to concentrate nutrients, pears damaged by external forces like weather, insects, and crows, misshapen pears, and pears with uneven colour—all were eliminated. Among those that reached the qualifying standard, further grading into various levels took place based on appearance.
This process is so similar to humans. We compete even before becoming fertilised eggs, and even death cannot end it. Someone else is always prettier, more talented, more accomplished. Sacrificing the interests of some for the benefit of others is inevitable, and preserving everyone's interests is impossible. We also cannot foresee if it wouldn’t be another species if it weren't humans.
I feel I cannot make a judgment and thus have no intention to criticise. However, walking through the endless pear fields with pears scattered everywhere and the sweet, rotten scent continuously invading my nostrils, I genuinely felt a sense of desolation.}

未果は私が富山ガラス研究所で在学中に完成した作品です。私の知る限り、富山で最も有名なものは二つあり、それは呉羽梨とガラスです。

当時、私が住んでいたアパートの近くには果てしなく広がる梨畑がありました。梨は農作物として大量に栽培され、果実を収穫するために、異形の形状が梨の木自身の耐久力を超え、水泥柱や金属ネットで支えられています。結果として、市場に出荷される梨よりも淘汰される梨の方が遥かに多いのです。成長過程で、栄養を集中させるために落ちた小さな梨、天候や虫、カラスによって破壊された梨、形が不揃いな梨、色が均一でない梨、そして合格ラインに達した梨は再び品質によってランク付けされます。まるで人間そのものです。受精卵になる前から競争が始まり、死んでも競争は終わらないのです。彼/彼女はもっと美しい、彼/彼女はもっと才能がある、彼/彼女はもっと成功している。ある人々の利益のために他の人々の利益が犠牲にされ、全ての人を保全することは不可能です。もし人類ではなく他の種族だったとしても、同じことが起きるかどうかは予見できません。私は判断することができず、批判する意図もありませんが、果てしなく続く梨畑を通り過ぎるとき、地面に転がる梨と鼻に入ってくる甘く腐敗した香りは、現実の悲哀を感じさせました。
